With no time for documenting new discoveries, I am posting this photo as a placeholder and incentive for further explorations. This huge bibliographic compendium by Robert N. Bloch is a real treasure trove of visionary literature available in German. I hope to contribute more about this comprehensive volume and its author next month.

Having gone through the work, it is very useful, especially for looking up a lot of German gothic publications, even more so the anonymous ones. But the Utopia and Sci-Fi takes up such a chunk of the book it is sometimes hard to find something else, I feel that arranging these thematically as well would have been a big help.
ReplyDeleteHi D. Jones. Thank you for your comment! Alas, COVID-19 and its aftermath has thrown my blog off the rails for the last 4 years and I am ashamed to admit that I have failed to keep up with new posts and have regretfully missed your comment back in time, having spotted it only now. Huge apologies for that! In hindsight, I agree with your complaint about utopia and sci-fi taking huge chunk of the book. Having used the book as reference a couple of times, I had exactly the same issue. I also wish the entries could be either re-arranged or somehow tagged. On a different note, thank you for your contributions to your channel The Weird and The Wonderful (where I hear you have name-checked Robert N. Bloch's name)!
